The mission of the Patient and Family Advisory Council is to be a passionate advocate for communication and collaboration between patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to promote an exceptional patient experience at Tampa General Hospital.

Empowering Patient Voices: Tampa General Hospital Leaders Engage the PFAC to Drive Meaningful Change
In this episode, host Amber Washington talks with TGH leaders Amy Matthews and Kristin Maier about their work with the Inpatient Holds Steering Committee and how it’s enhancing patient care in the emergency department. They discuss how Tampa General Hospital is using insights from the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) to improve communication and provide “care and comfort” in non-traditional spaces within the hospital.
